Service: Helping groups and individuals to identify needs and concerns, supporting groups and individuals to work out local solutions. Supporting local groups and networks to become partners in developing and improving mental health and social care services. Signposting people to information, resources and sources of funding.
Raising awareness and reduce stigma around issues of Mental Health, via training or community engagement/events.
We help Mental Health services get better by helping people from BME communities to be involved in BME developments within Health and Social Care organisations. Hence we improve access to Mental Health services and appropriateness e.g cultural competence training. In all of this work we are trying to reduce inequalities and build bridges between all BME communities.
Target groups: Black and minority ethnic communities, all age groups, males and females
