The Burngreave Adult Learning Working Group (ALWG) is an open group, for anyone who lives and/or works in the area and is interested in adult learning and skills.
The ALWG meets around every six weeks, at the BCAF offices. It provides a lively forum for the exhange of information and ideas.
Over the last year, the ALWG has been responsible for:
The production of a Guide to Adult Learning opportunities in the area.
Making decisions on how to spend the Burngreave allocation of the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities grant.
Producing an up-to-date list of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes + english conversation classes
Consolidating the local Childcare Training Pathway
Drafting the Burngreave Adult Learning, Skills & Employment Plan
